Dear Parents:
I hope this winter season has gotten off to a good start for your child and family. We have already begun some new fundraising activities for this school year, including the Coupon Book sale and Used Book sale, and look forward to launching more in 2011. In light of the fact, that many of our extras (such as puppetry, circus arts, etc.) are at risk of being cut due to budget concerns and that our school is in need of a new piano, I am asking everyone to support the PA and make a voluntary contribution in the form of a check or money order, made out to the PA of P.S. 196. Your donations will help the PA to try to maintain some of our extras, as well as provide our children with new programs, such as the literacy-based magic show, “I Love to Read,” and obtain important teaching equipment, such as a new piano. If you can, please reach out to your neighbors, friends and maybe your child's grandparents, so that we might help the kids continue to have a really great year.
Please take a moment to review this section of the website for different ways you can help. Any support provided is truly appreciated.
Parent involvement is key to the success of any fundraising event we do. Please, if you can give any time at all to helping out, it would make a huge difference. Please click here to Contact Us to sign-up or get more information.
Thanks in advance,
Brenda Zuckerman and Lisa Goldenberg
