Dear P.S. 196 Family

The school year has gotten off to a great start. All of us at the school – teachers, administrators, and support staff – are working hard to make sure that your child/children will have a successful year of learning and growth. However, we know that we can’t do this alone. We need your support and involvement. The more involved you are in your child’s education, the more successful your child will be here.

One of the keys to your child’s success will be your ongoing involvement in our school community. Throughout the year, you will have opportunities to meet with your child’s teacher, attend informational sessions on the teaching approaches and learning materials that we use, and to participate in workshops on topics of special interest that will be planned and announced throughout the school year.
