Sunshine Fund- Emily Ades
The fund would provide teachers, administrators, PA Executive Board members, and full-time school staff (secretarial, custodial, and school aides) with acknowledgements for milestones in their lives.
These milestones would include: Birth/adoption of a child, or 1st grandchild, wedding, death of a spouse/partner, parent or child, retirement, hospitalization or extended illness
The gift for a baby, 1st grandchild, retirement, wedding, or illness would be a $25 gift certificate to Barnes and Nobles.
In the event of a sympathy expression – a card would be sent acknowledging a donation to the school library for $25 worth of books with a placard “In Memory of…” The placards can be printed in advance as well as acknowledgement cards which should be designed by a student.
The Sunshine Fund has already honored the life of teacher Ms. Singh with a bench. The bench has not been placed at our school yet but there is a plaque for Ms. Singh hanging outside Ms. Migliano’s office until a permanent home is found after construction completion.

Emily Ades assured us that due to start-up issues and the PS 303 PTA Association not functioning according to the Chancellors Regulations, the program has been cancelled. This will not affect our after school program at all.
